‘Tis autumn, and nature is putting on a cozy sweater. Yesterday was the first day since June 3 that temperatures dipped below 60º in Greensboro. (That June day was an unseasonably cool 51º.) The autumnal equinox arrived, and so did the cooler temperatures.
The photo above was taken downtown at the Cultural Arts Center on Davie Street. The hydrangea heads have turned a showy, textured brown—a beautiful sign of the season. And the poster behind them is pretty special, too. It advertises the current exhibition at Green Hill, Tierra: A Landscape Survey, on view through November 7.
If you love landscapes, you’ll love this exhibit. It features the work of 30 North Carolina artists, each offering their own interpretations of landscapes. You can see the exhibition and learn more about the artists HERE.
Visiting Green Hill is the perfect thing to do on a cold, rainy fall day!
Happy Thursday!
