Driving along Battleground Avenue last night, we we were struck by the beauty of the glow of the orange pumpkin patch. This annual youth-group fundraiser at Mt. Pisgah Church raises money for much needed projects while teaching the youth about service to community and interacting with the public. The second load of pumpkins has already been delivered.

According to the church website, they also have corn stalks, cherry bomb pumpkins, and butternut squash. We arrived after hours, so it was too late to learn about cherry bomb pumpkins. Standard hours for the pumpkin patch, located at the corner of Battleground Avenue and Pisgah Church Road is 9:00 am- 7:00 p.m. Stop by, shop and let us know if you find out about the cherry bomb pumpkins. Here, pumpkins range from $6-$35.
