The above photo features our dear friend D.S. who volunteered to help set up at the North Carolina Folk Festival. The festival begins today! Yesterday, D.S. and other volunteers were diligently putting out chairs at the City Stage, located at the corner of East Market and Davie Streets. This is the location of the stage where the largest crowds are anticipated. The big attraction tomorrow night will be The Roots, the house band for the Jimmy Fallon Show.

This state festival is possible because of people like D.S. who take time off from their full time jobs and volunteer through the weekend to to make the music happen. Lets hope people, from Murphy to Manteo, come to support this wonderful festival. When you see volunteers, please thank them.
