While it isn’t officially fall until September 22, many people treat the Labor Day Weekend as the last hurrah of summer. Traditionally, this is the last weekend for community pools. Also, many Greensboro (and North Carolina) families maintain the tradition of heading to the beach this weekend.

For those of us who are in town for Labor Day, the Central Carolina Fair at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex is an option. We were there yesterday afternoon and there was minimal waiting. Likely, the fair gets busier in the evening. Fair food is always so much fun. Remember, senior citizens get in free and purses and bags must be see through, unless it is a small clutch. However you decide to spend the day, here’s hoping it is restful.
