Yesterday, we featured Phillips Chapel at Canterbury School in Lake Jeanette. Another noteworthy feature of this lovely school is the above sculpture: The Kindness and Inclusiveness Children’s Sculpture. The piece, made by Sculptor Robert Shure, was installed at Canterbury in 2006. The bronze sculpture, of five children holding hands, greets visitors at the main entrance to the school.

Ray and Beverly Berry, grandparents of children who attended the school, sponsored the sculpture in honor of their grandchildren and to celebrate Canterbury’s community spirit. Art adds such a special element to public and private spaces. What better piece for a school, but a sculpture of children!
