The Flatiron Apartments

The Flatiron Apartments or Condominiums on Summit Avenue were built in 1922 and originally known as the Kaplan Apartments. When businessman Dick Levy purchased them, he changed the name to the Flatiron reflecting the triangular building with that name in New York City.*

After visiting the Greensboro History Museum recently, we noticed the extent to which the condo building is landscaped. There is so much diversity. It is even registered as a Monarch Waystation. If we all start doing what we can for the flora and fauna, everyone benefits.
