Mizumi Hibachi has been at 309 State Street since 2012. Yesterday, the line waiting for the restaurant to open at 5:00 p.m. kept growing. The above photo was taken after some people had already been seated. Their popularity grew about 10 years ago when they started offering all-you-can-eat (AYCE) sushi and hibachi pricing. They have a fabulous birthday special. If you bring three friends for the AYCE special four days before or after your birthday, you eate AYCE free.

Have you noticed that traffic on State Street has been picking up? There are several new businesses. Home Grounds Coffee Shop and and Green Apple Garden are new businesses. Vida Pour Tea has been generating foot traffic since 2014. Eclectic by Nature has been a staple since 2003. Let’s hope this upward trajectory continues. State Street is the closest our community has to a cozy, beach-street vibe. Put on some casual beach apparel and head on down!
