This 4′ fiberglass jean sculpture, located at the PTI Airport in Greensboro, is one of several jeans sculptures around town. They represent the legacy our city has with being the birthplace of Wrangler jeans and the fact that it was a longtime hub for the textile and denim industry.
The above sculpture was painted by Steve McGuire of Pfafftown, NC in 2018. The title of the piece is “Slice of Heaven.” It is a perfect piece of art to represent the USA. On the back, the images celebrate North Carolina. The slight challenge is to see this sculpture, you have to have a ticket to fly and be in Terminal 2. If you aren’t flying, you can see other jeans sculptures around town, HERE.
Happy Thursday!!
