The First Baptist Church of Greensboro at 1000 W. Friendly Avenue is such a lovely property. It takes up an entire city block. The above photo is of the outdoor classroom on the southeast end of the lot, at the corner of Mendenhall and Friendly Avenue. We sat there for a few minutes yesterday, lost in thought between the maple, magnolia, and willow oak trees.
This church is accepting of people from all walks of life. They are generous with the use of their space. As an example, ‘Borough Coffee uses their parking lot as overflow space as needed. Only the playground for children is fenced. There is a sign in the distance that reminds us services are held in person and online on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. We just may log on.
Happy Sunday!
