Yesterday afternoon, a World Soccer Watch Party was held in LeBauer Park. It was a beautiful sight seeing so many people downtown watching the game on the big screen. Norway chose Greensboro as its Official Team Base Camp for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Because Norway picked us. Greensboro picked Norway to cheer on. Unfortunately, France won yesterday’s match up; but it was beautiful seeing the Greensboro fans gesturing the “Viking row” in support of the team. Sure, there were some people in the crowd cheering for France, but the afternoon was peaceful. The Greensboro Downtown Parks, Inc. did a fantastic job.

Sunday will be another big day for LeBauer Park as the MUSEP Concert will be held there. The concert lasts from 6:00- 8:00 pm and the music is the Greensboro Concert Band.
