The Piedmont Shakespeare Company is presenting the Shakespeare play, “Much Ado About Nothing,” this week at the VanDyke Theatre in the Cultural Arts Center. The event is free and open to the public.* Last night, all tickets were distributed and the actors performed to a full house. The audience was filled with Shakespeare aficionados who knew the play well. They anticipated lines and laughed when humorous lines were delivered.
The Piedmont Shakespeare Company is a 501(c)3 non profit that has been around for about two years now. They host free performances in Winston-Salem, High Point, Stokes County, Burlington, and Greensboro. They have garnered considerable community support, making it possible to offer free productions. However, like MUSEP, they are always appreciative of donations. There are many opportunities for live theatre and music in Greensboro. Here’s to our supporting these venues and keping the viable.
Happy Friday!
