Today is the day! The Summer Solstice Event will be held at the Greensboro Arboretum and Lindley Park from 2-10pm. The above photo features one of the longtime buskers, the Golden Fairy with an intern. This gives you an idea of the kind of magic you will see at the event.

There will be a grand parade, plenty of merchants and festival food, and music and performances all day long. The grand finale is always the fire show where performers dance their way around flames as darkness descends over the park.

Family friendly costumes and magical outfits are strongly encouraged.

Remember, the cost is $10 and no pets allowed. Bring water bottles, chairs and blankets, and umbrellas that can do double duty for sun or rain, but no tents. See more details, here.
