Are you ready for First Friday? The above features an earlier Elm Street event, but it captures the essence of what you will see downtown. There is so much to do, especially in summer. We usually start at LeBauer Park, head to the Cultural Arts Center and work our way down, all the way to Gate City Boulevard. With hours of daylight extending well into the evening, truly it feels as if summer is already here.

This Friday, the Center for Visual Artists (CVA) on Davie Street will host the opening reception for their exhibit “Art of Inclusion.” In addition to being able to see the art during the reception, artists and community members will be available, gathering to celebrate the diversity of our community. See you downtown tomorrow!
