And just like that, azaleas have bloomed in Greensboro. Peak bloom has started and will continue to mid-April. There are certain varieties that will bloom again; however, something about spring really brings out the beauty.
Some public spaces in Greensboro with stunning azalea blooms include: the Greensboro Arboretum; Tanger Family Bicentennial Garden; and the Bog Garden. As of yesterday, the Bog Garden is closed so that the boardwalk can be replaced. We’re betting a lot of blooms can be admired from the perimeter; plus, the Bicentennial Garden is right across the street. Additionally, many neighborhoods near the city have landscaping that features azaleas. The above azaleas were being visited by carpenter bees when we walked by. Carpenter been are important native pollinators.
Happy Tuesday! Tomorrow is April!
