While many in Greensboro are monitoring their broken March Madness basketball brackets, baseball and softball are revving up in full force. From the Greensboro Grasshoppers to all of the higher education teams to K-12 teams to rec ball to traveling teams, baseball is happening all around us. The 2026 Major League Baseball (MLB) season kicked off yesterday with the New York Yankees and the San Francisco Giants.

College baseball started in February, but yesterday, the UNCG Spartans came out on the field for a team photo. This weekend, they have three days of away games at Wofford in Spartanburg, SC. How fun, our Spartans will be in SPARTANburg. Next Thursday (4/2), they return to their home stadium hosting Mercer University from Macon, GA. Our Greensboro Grasshoppers kick off their season on April 7th against the Asheville Tourists. There is so much good, affordable beisball in Greensboro. Head out and support a local team.

Happy Thursday!
