Yesterday, the sky was so beautiful and the day was warm and bright. We headed to Spring Garden Bakery for a snack and along the way, The windowns of Foxglove Studios and The Clothesline Vintage caught our eye. Foxglove is a tattoo and art studio, in the location formerly occupied by Moonbird Soulful Living. To see the portfolios of the tattoo artists at Foxglove, see HERE. It has been open since October 2024. Clothesline Vintage opened about a year later in 2025. Of course Spring Garden Bakery, the anchor, long-time tenant in the building, has been a destination for decades.

Spring Garden Street is lined with locally owned businesses. We are finding ourselves spending more and more time in the area. It is not quite “downtown” but the area definitely does not have a suburban, mall feel. From Holden Road to Mendenhall Street, from food to clothing, to books to coffee and tattoos, to home goods, and artwork and bicycles, there is something for everyone.
