Contra Dancing at the Grange

Contra Dancing at the Grange is something fun to do, whether you have a partner or go alone. Experienced dancers love to bring novice dancers into the fold in this good wholesome fun. As they like to say, “if you can walk, you can contra dance.”

The dances are usually the third Saturday of the month at 4909 Guilford School Road. The sliding scale entrance fee if from $10- $20, and students only pay $5. Funds are used to pay the band and make the event possible. The Fiddle and Bow Country Dancers host the contra dance and they will make you feel welcome. The next contra dance is February 21st from 7:00pm- 10:30pm. Find a flouncy garment, comfy shoes and give it a try. The above photo was taken at the January dance when David Glick called and The Piedmont Polecats supplied the music.

Happy Saturday!
