Snow & Ice Arrives in GSO

As anticipated, the snow and ice arrived in Greensboro this past weekend. As you can see from this backyard view, there is snow; however it isn’t very deep. The low temperatures and ice make conditions hazardous– especially in a city that doesn’t have much experience with snow and ice. The temperature range tomorrow is anticipated to be the most extreme for the week; a low of 7º and a high of 35º. Our guess is that many small businesses will be closed for a few days and classes will be held remotely.

Yesterday, many people in Greensboro were asking about the best places to go sled riding in their respective neighborhoods. Sled vendors were popping up in parking lots along the roads. Let’s hope kids find a way to have fun, yet remain safe. With all of the colds and flu going around, perhaps it is best we have to hunker down and appreciate those in our homes and neighborhoods. Today’s garbage pick up is delayed until tomorrow.

The birds need extra fuel when it is cold and cats and dogs should either be brought inside or provided with straw or aspen pine bedding. Warm wishes of no power loss, car accidents, or falling branches.

Happy Monday!
