First Presbyterian Church

The First Presbyterian Church of Greensboro is undergoing significant renovation. According to the church website, for 16 months, deteriorating mortar will be addressed; cast stone and roofing will be repaired; windows will be waterproofed; and more. For now, on this last Sunday before Christmas, the church looks as if it is enveloped in wrapping paper, a gift of sorts. The church is a gift to the community, and the spiritual community came together to contribute to the capital campaign, making the extensive renovation possible.

The blue of yesterday morning casts a cold look on a place that is actually warm on so many levels. We hope you are warm, cozy, and spiritually fulfilled today, the Winter Solstice, the day of the year with the least hours of daylight– at least in the northern hemisphere.

Happy Winter Solstice, Last Sunday Before Christmas, & Last Evening of Hanukkah!
