We love older, smaller homes that have a character all their own. This property at 1004 Glenwood Avenue is very nicely maintained. It was built in 1932 and last sold almost 25 years ago. Those vines, that have been trained to grow over the entrance arch, do a lovely job of distancing the house from the street. The sidewalks in front make the Glenwood neighborhood very walkable. The gate in front of the house indicates that the owners would like some privacy. The front yard has a large fountain and an inviting front porch.
Glenwood is one of Greensboro’s earliest neighborhoods, dating back to the early 1900s. It is known for its diversity, often referred to as a melting pot of cultures. They had a trolley until 1956. There are vibrant neighborhood initiatives that bring the community together. Houses sure have jumped in price since 2020. We like to ride our bikes on the streets there. For being so close to town, they are relatively quiet.
Happy Wednesday!
