903 Bluford Street is located right across the street from North Carolina A&T University. As a matter of fact, Samet is building a NCA&T building right beside the above house.  This house was built in 1905, making it 120 years old. We were out exploring the area, trying to imagine what it will look like in October, on NCA&T’s homecoming  weekend.

The lot that goes with the house about 1/4 an acre and it seems as if it is an enclave unto itself; a private residence, surrounded by university property in a house where it seems as if time stood still. The exterior condition has been well maintained, and that porch is absolutely cozy looking. We do plan to stop by on the week of October 5012, just to see how this house weathers homecoming. 

Today is Labor Day, a holiday that began in 1882, a holiday that was only 23 years old when this house was built. Theodore Roosevelt was president.
