This past week, when were on a group bike ride, we stopped to rest in the shade at Buffalo Presbyterian Church at the corner of 16th Street and Church Street. It is such a lovely, well-appointed property. It is located on eight acres and was first organized in 1756. The church pre-dates the founding of Greensboro. The current sanctuary was built in 1827 and updated and expanded in 1919 – 1920 and again expanded in 1956.* The church has a rich history which is well documented on their website (see HERE). They have Sunday school at 9:45 am and worship services at 11:00 am.
It looks like, on the day we were there, they were getting their carped cleaned. Given the size of the building, we imagine there is a lot of carped inside. If you are interested in getting involved in the church, here is their schedule. Most days of the week, something is happening at the church. On Mondays, the Page High School Young Life group meets there. We hope to get in for a tour soon.
Happy Sunday!
