The Long Road to High Ground Mixed Use Project

Yesterday, we had a landscape photo from a federal park. Today, we’re sharing a 10-acre private project being developed by Marty Kotis and Will Stevens. Dubbed “High Ground”, it is, indeed, on high ground above Battleground Avenue at the corner of Westridge The above photo was taken from the British Woods side, past where Downing Street becomes Churchill Drive.  This $35 million project will have both apartments and retail space. Again, this is an example where city land is infilled, as opposed to needing to annex property or use more rural, unimproved property.  Projects like this one are changing the landscape and profile of North Battleground (NOBA). The project will likely be done sometime this year.
