
You might not recognize this facade or know about the Mortgage Investment Corp.; however, if you were in Greensboro in the mid-1990s, you likely recall the restaurant at 1808, down below on the basement level: Hayble’s Hearth. Hayble’s had great home cooked food. It was the closest to eating at your southern grandma’s house that you could get at a restaurant. Sundays were packed from opening to closing. Today, that lower level is a hookah lounge. As part of a summer fun quest, we think we’re going to driving around Greensboro looking for places with an 1808 address. Here is the first one.
