Last night, North Carolina officially entered in Phase 3 with the COVID restrictions. Restrictions have been relaxed and the streets, stores, restaurants, and bars, were busier last night than they have been a long time. Largely, people were still cautious, wearing masks and being mindful of social distance. The lime scooters were being right and left with people cruising through town on them in clusters.
The above photo features South Elm Street at McGee Street yesterday as night was settling in. If you look closely, you can see a TV on upstairs at Natty Greene’s Brewing Company downtown. The blue car is a Papa John’s Pizza vehicle out on delivery. Even though you don’t see people in the photo, they were there. Before we know it, those leaves will change to fall colors and then drop to the ground. For this weekend, they are still bright green and look beautiful against the backdrop of the sapphire blue sky. Happy Saturday!
