Tomorrow is the Art and Sole Artists’ Event in Westerwood!

, , ,

Tomorrow is the first Saturday in October, which means that it is time for the annual Art & Sole art event in the Westerwood neighborhood in Greensboro. Located between West Friendly Avenue, North Josephine Boyd Street, and Benjamin Parkway, Westerwood is a neighborhood filled with artists and people who take great pride in their neighborhood. The above house is an example of both. The architecture and landscaping is stunning and, as you can see in the front yard, this house will be a stop on the self-guided, walking art tour this year.

Thanks to potter, Ann Lynch, for ten years, artists of Westerwood have opened their studios to the public. This year, about 20 artists will participate. If you’re in the market to purchase pottery or original art, or to just get out for a stroll in a neighborhood that has been charming since its construction in the 1920’s, this is the event for you. See you there sometime between 10am and 5pm! You can find the stops under westerwoodartandsole on Facebook. 211 Hillcrest Drive is listed as stop #1. Start there, or, just to to Cortland Street, Fairmont Street, North Mendenhall, or Crestland, and you will be well on your way!
