These two dancers were part of the North Carolina Brazilian Arts Project at the North Carolina Folk Festival. They danced last night in front of the City Stage. Their costumes were stunning and the audience loved their dancing. After their performance, many people rushed up to get their pictures with them, especially families and young girls who were learning to dance. The two women were gracious with posing for photos. We weren’t able to get to the front of the line to interview them, but they were able to pose for a brief moment together.
From about noon until 10:00 p.m. tonight, music and dance will be heard throughout the town. While the festival is free, it costs about a million and a half dollars to put on; so, if the blue bucket brigade come by asking for a donation, please do so if you can. If ever there were a time to head to town, this is the weekend. Every single act will be worth seeing! The Brazilian Arts Project will be performing again today at 5:15 pm at LeBauer Park. Greensboro is so lucky!
