What says weekend more than a person driving home after a hard week of work with a happy yellow lab on the back of a new white pick up truck? This photo was taken a few weeks ago in Greensboro along Battleground Avenue. It was a warm day, but the sun wasn’t too intense. The dog seemed perfectly happy to hang out on the truck.

According to registration of dogs, labs are the most popular breed worldwide. At least in 2017, it was the most popular breed in North Carolina, too  They are kind, intelligent, loyal, and  make great companions. It is no wonder the man driving this truck picked a lab to travel with him. Greensboro is a pretty friendly dog city. We have trails and bark parks. Remember to keep your dog on a leash when you are in public and to be mindful of excessive heat as the weather gets warmer.
