This spring has been glorious in Greensboro. The significant rainfall has helped with producing lush blossoms and countless shades of green, and the cold winter helped in controlling the “bad bugs”. The above photo is of a cluster of wild roses growing in the woods of northwest Greensboro. These white roses with soft petals are much more hardy and rambling than the cultivated, hybrid varieties. They climb and trail, covering the woody shrubs below them. The scene is very typical of natural areas in and around Greensboro.

We are reminded on this Sunday morning, walking through the woods, of the  glory of nature.
