If you are looking for something to do today, head to one of Greensboro’s farmer’s markets. The above photo features two of the workers at the Poppy’s Pickles booth at the Yanceyville Curb Market near the old War Memorial Stadium. The two are standing at “parade rest” as they wait for their next wave of customers. Globally, pickles have been around since 2030 B.C. Poppy’s is slightly younger, but they’ve certainly developed a great product. Visiting a farmer’s market is such a great Saturday morning tradition! Hope to see  you there.
