Today’s view is an evening street scene in Irving Park, where Lawndale Drive merges into Battleground Avenue. The business you see is the new restaurant, Core Life, located on the lot where IHOP was formerly located. Early indication is that Core Life will be quite popular. The location, healthy menu choices, and reasonable price points make it popular with locals.

This area is heavily traveled during the day, but quiets down at night. This photo is deceptively empty, catching the view between spurts of traffic. There are several thriving businesses in the plazas here. They are well visited by not only the nearby Irving Park and Kirkwood families, but also by people from throughout the city. With planned changes from Mill Street to on up Battleground, Greensboro’s footprint is changing before our eyes!
