Public school is out in Greensboro. Families will be leaving town for their beach and mountain vacations. Others will travel by air to start their summer adventures. The above airplane is in the landing pattern for Piedmont Triad International Airport. For those who aren’t in a position to take out-of-town vacations this summer, great staycations can be arranged in Greensboro, centered around plane watching in and around the airport.
This photo was taken at Bur-Mil Park. On many days, Bur-Mil is right in the landing pattern and the planes do seem really close, especially if you have your head in the clouds, dreaming about your summer fun. Speaking of summer fun, tonight the Bur-Mil swim team will host the Friendly Frogs in a dual swim meet. If possible, we will post a photo of the meet tomorrow. Stay tuned!
