The above photo was taken in downtown Greensboro in Governmental Plaza on First Friday. Members of the Evangel Fellowship Church of Greensboro were doing sound checks, getting ready for Christian Anderson to sing at a benefit concert,  which was a fundraiser for East Greensboro tornado victims. Ms. Anderson was scheduled to sing at 6:30 and, hopefully, she got to perform before the wind and rain disrupted many First Friday events. 

Evangel Fellowship is a dynamic congregation that worships at 2207 East Cone Boulevard. Otis Lockett, Jr. is pastor. The biblical-based congregation has been together for 35 years, moving from Freeman Mill Road to East Cone Boulevard. Christian Anderson is a local Christian musician who spreads the word of God through her voice. Sometimes, a powerful song can move a person spiritually even more than just plain talking; although, congregants sing the praises of Pastor Lockett and his wife. Happy Sunday!
