Mystery Photo in East Greensboro

Usually on Greensboro Daily Photo, with a little research, we are able to uncover information about the photos we take. Sometimes, people are around to explain what we are seeing. Often, we come home and with a little creative search logic, we come up with information about a place or event. The above photo was taken in east Greensboro, just after the tornado this spring. There was so much destruction in the community, in some cases structures blown off of their foundation and roofs with trees on top of them. In the middle of all of the destruction, this orange and green structure remained intact, between a garage that had a hole in the roof and a house that seemed unscathed.

There was no hint as to the meaning of the display. Perhaps, one of our readers will have an idea, or will know some cultural reference. If so, do let us know! For now, consider it a little punch of color and Greensboro sunshine to get your week off to a great start. Happy Monday!
