May the 4th be with you today as you drive around Greensboro pondering the fact that tomorrow is Cinco de mayo. Somebody in Greensboro, North Carolina is a step ahead of us. He is driving around town in a Ford Fiesta with the license plate asking, “where.” Where? Well, tonight is First Friday, so downtown will be full of things to see and do. For starters, the Beauty of the Beast exhibit will open tonight at Green Hill and many of the featured artists will be on hand. Galleries, stores, and restaurants will be open late tonight to provide opportunities to eat and be entertained.

Tomorrow, every Mexican restaurant in town will welcome guests with open arms, chips, salsa, and an opportunity to celebrate Mexican heritage. Also, it is free comic day so comic book stores will have people coming out in droves, dressed as action figures, waiting in like for a free comic book. Surely, a Black Panther or two will be on hand to make us wish we were in Wakanda. So, as you can see, if someone in Greensboro asks you “donde”, you can tell them, “Pues, hay muchas opciones.” Well, there are many options- at least in Greensboro on the first weekend in May.
