The Stanley House at 314 Isabel Street, on the corner of North Church Street, is billed as a curious colonial revival style house. Built in about 1920, this house is distinctive because of the 2-story Corinthian portico. The stuccoed round arch also sets the house apart from everything else in the Fisher Park neighborhood. Actually, it sets it apart from about anything else in Greensboro. Over the nearly 100 years, it has been beautifully maintained. The landscape is very elegant, too.

The house is actually bigger than it looks. It is nearly 4,000 square ft. We featured it on GDP in 2009 and it still looks the same, except for the more mature landscaping. Historic properties like this one are very fun to seek out on weekends. If you have time today, check it out!
