In the above photo, Center City Park looks so peaceful and inviting, but empty. Drab weekday afternoons aren’t exactly conducive to spending time in parks. The yellow leaves were partly hanging on to the trees and partly carpeting the sidewalk. After yesterday’s rain, the trees just might be bare. The City Daily Photo community’s theme day today is Transitions. We share this photo as a transition from fall to winter,* And we ask, is a park a park without people? 

Tomorrow night will be First Friday and the Festival of Lights. This very park will be packed with people out celebrating the Christmas season. Elm Street will be packed, too. With the decorations glowing, you will know that fall is going! We hope to see you there.
