This big, pink house sits at the edge of the Aycock Historic District at the corner of Percy and Park.  Driving along Murrow Boulevard, it sits up on the hill sporting that bubble-gum pink color. Built in the American fourquare style, this pink house just may be a diamond-in-the-rough.*

Aycock Historic District is composed of single and multi-family dwellings. It is one of three historic neighborhoods in Greensboro. With its close proximity to downtown, in the early 20th century, Aycock was quite a fashionable neighborhood. Large trees, like the one on this lot, are common in this neighborhood. The house has a birds-eye view of the JP Building. The other day, when we were out taking pictures of the fog, the same man who asked us the time of day also asked if we thought the owners intended to keep their house “that color.” Time will tell……….
