The quality of this photo isn’t very good, but it evokes a great feeling: Relaxation. It was taken at the little pond beside the silo near the farm-course swimming pool of the Greensboro Country Club. The view was from Tory Hill Drive, a rapidly developing area that is still zoned “county.” This unidentified man spent the late afternoon hours gliding around the little pond in the hopes of catching a fish- or two. We didn’t interrupt his solitude to ask whether or not he’d caught anything. Sometimes stories are better when you don’t know the ending.
