Ice Cream Truck

Ice cream trucks are an iconic symbol of summer. Children hear the music wafting through their neighborhood and run to wait in line for amazing summer treats. They scrape change from the change pile, add a dollar or two, and run out with their friends to purchase a frozen treat.

As seen on the above sign, the photo was taken on North Church Street beside the Central Branch of the Greensboro City Library. Does an ice cream truck come to your neighborhood? These mom and pop businesses operate on the principle of supply and demand. You buy; they come! This photo was taken at a special event one weekend a couple of months ago. Ice cream trucks do not regularly come to Church Street.

Ice cream trucks may well have been the first mobile “food” trucks. Here’s to popsicles, dreamcicles, nutty buddies, freeze pops, Sponge Bob and Spiderman pops, and so much more. The options are limitless. Happy Tuesday!
