Co-Creation Event 2014 at Holy Trinity Episcopal

Above, you see inside the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church on Greene Street. Yesterday afternoon, there was a lovely religious event taking place in town, Co-creation 2014. The event, which spread along Greene Street and included events at Faith Action International House, a walking of the labyrinth, a call to action regarding immigration reform, the showcasing of a community garden, and more.

As people outside were rallying, walking the labyrinth, distributing posters, talking, and laughing, those inside the church were conteplating the notion of “humans working together with the Creator to complete the creation.” They were invoking Christ to speak to them; seeking a bridge between the created world and the creative world, having silent prayer, and singing with a Biblical vision for the environment. The event attracted a diverse group of people who all seemed to have the common vision of a more just world with people who are more socially and environmentally conscious. The inside of the church was beautiful as were the people in it!
