Chevy Truck on Battleground

, , ,

We North Carolinians love our trucks. The above “Heartbeat of America” Chevvy was cruizing down Battleground Avenue earlier this week. The bright lemon yellow truck held its own on the morning commute to work. What do you think? Does it look like a 1980’s model year? In 2009, we featured one on Gracewood Drive. Maybe this is the same truck, repainted! It is even brighter than school-bus yellow. It really looks great beside the $2.50 A CLEANER CITY sign. Somehow, we don’t think that this old bumperless truck, chugging down the highway, contributes to a cleaner city. We’re guessing, however, that is great fun to use for traversing the Greensboro streets. Have you seen any fun vehicles, lately? How nice to see one that has obviously been loved for so long. Beep, beep!
