Greensboro's Own Duck Dynasty

People with dogs on leashes, people in wheel chairs, people with baby strollers, people of all ages were going between the bog and bicentennial gardens. The 1100 block of Hobbs Road was very busy. Through the News & Record, we learned that NCA&T University is using the bog garden for a plant propogation project. All of this collaboration is helping the bog garden grow. This trend of getting students (from Kindergarten to graduate school) out to interact with the community and to treat the community as a living laboratory is a win-win situaiton. The Terra Cotta Heritage Foundation is an outgrowth of one such collaborative effort.

As you enjoy Greensboro this weekend (including First Friday tonight), think about how you might be able to contribute to something needed in our community. In the meantime, stop by the bog garden and check out Greensboro’s own duck dynasty!
