Veterans Day is a time to remember those who have served in the military. It grew out of Armistice Day at the time of World War I which ended in the 11th hour in the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918. Well, today is a very special day because it is 11/11/11. Do you know where you will be/were at 11:11? Today, most government offices are closed, as are Guilford County Schools. Hopefully everyone will take time to remember the sacrifices made by service people and their families. Many restaurants are giving discounts to veterans. If you are one, don’t forget to ask!
