Hurray, the weekend has rolled in. Last night’s First Friday in Downtown Greensboro was a little quiet. However, the Gate City Roller Girls were out in full force. Again, they rolled onto the scene when we least expected it and volunteered to pose for a photo. Founded in 2010,they are a fun-loving group of women are dedicated to athleticism and roller skating fun. They are part of Greensboro’s first official Roller Derby League. This fast-paced, contact-team sport is fun for women of all ages. They practice at least three times a week and are up for a workout indoors or out.
