Main Post Office

Greensboro’s main post office is located on Murrow Blvd. just east of Elm Street. The long silver building is easily identifiable. While this location is considered our main post office, the 9-5 Monday-Friday hours aren’t any more generous than the branch offices. There is a Saturday collection at 2pm for the on-site mailboxes. The main post office has great parking. The US Postal system has an identifier for all of their post offices and you can find the webpage for the main post office here.

This photo was taken a couple of weeks ago when the flag was at half mast a lot that week in honor of the victims of the Tucson, AZ tragedy as well as the death of former North Carolina auditor Ralph Campbell, Jr.  Mr. Campbell was the first African-American elected to a statewide executive office in North Carolina. He died of lung cancer on Tuesday, January 11, 2011. Campbell’s whole family was known for their many efforts and actions that advanced desegregation and the civil rights movement (read more here).
