Garden of Prayer in Jesus Christ Apostolic Church is located, just across the street from the Sportsplex,  at 2401 16th Street in Greensboro North Carolina. The Apostolic Church is a Pentecostal Christian denomination. The denomination was formed in the early 1900’s (more here) and has its roots in Wales. The religion is popular in the US South and in Greensboro as well. A Google search reveals several churches in Greensboro with “Apostolic” in their title: New Bethel, End Time Harvest, Friendship Temple, Garden of Prayer, United Apostolic Church of Prayer, Christ Apostolic CHR-MT Bethel, Zion Apostolic Church, and Yahweh. The tiny church featured above seems to honor the religion’s expectations for simplicity. This is our contribution for our weekly photo of something religious in Greensboro.
