Progress means annexation and public utilities. This scene is becoming more and more common in Greensboro– strips of trees leveled to make room for buildings, cement, and pipes. Under and above ground are affected when cities expand. As land becomes scarcer, cities need to be sure they are building judiciously. The City of Greensboro explains annexation on their website; however, recently, Greensboro put a new word on the map “un-annexation.”
