Parking decks are great places for capturing sunset photos. The photo above was taken from the top level of the Walker Avenue Parking Deck on the campus of UNCG. The view features College Park Baptist Church at the corner of Josephine Boyd Street and Walker Avenue. Standing on the deck and waiting for the sky to glow brighter, we were struck by the number of college students hanging out there. We didn’t realize that parking-deck socializing was a trend! Perhaps they were enjoying the sunset, too.

College Park Baptist is an open and welcoming Baptist church, and college students fit right in there. If you read their website, it seems that just about anyone who values openness and acceptance would feel at home. Against the backdrop of an orange and steel-gray sunset, we were reminded to be grateful for the beauty of nature—and for places full of love.
