If you are up early in Greensboro, you likely know all of the groups that are out. In this photo, taken at the corner of Josephine Boyd and Benjamin Parkway, in the background, there is a woman walking a dog. In the center is a group of students out for a training run. Not far behind them, was a group of male runners.
In Greensboro, yesterday’s weather was good for outdoor sports. Temperatures ranged from 69º- 89º, and opportunities for outside exercise are growing. To address outdoor movement, nearby Kiser Middle School has multiple bicycle racks. Soon, traditional schools will be back in session, and there will be even more people out using the sidewalk. There are approximately 77 miles of bike lanes in Greensboro and 44 miles of off-road, public off-road, public use paths (such as greenways). It will be important to be mindful of runners, pedestrians, bicyclists, and other motorized vehicles.
